Stensul Raises Series B Round

Woden client Stensul announced today that it raised $16 million in Series B funding, led by USVP. Capital One Ventures and Peak State Ventures also participated, as well as existing investors Javelin Venture Partners, Uncork Capital, First Round Capital, and Lowercase Capital.

Stensul, a SaaS startup that aims to streamline the process of email creation for enterprise companies, allows marketing teams to drastically cut down on the time it takes to craft emails without sacrificing quality or relying on designers or developers.

To date, its customers include Capital One, Samsung, ASICS Digital, and Greenhouse.

Stensul CEO Noah Dinkin stated the company will use the fresh funds to expand its marketing, product, engineering, and sales teams. It currently employs more than 100 people.

Referred by Capital One Partners in 2018, Stensul engaged Woden to codify its purpose in a succinct, strategic story that would inform its messaging, culture, and customer experience.

Woden helped Stensul craft and implement a compelling brand narrative, which placed its customers—marketing leaders—as the hero. By capturing the chaotic, frustrating process these leaders endure when designing emails without a centralized platform, the story struck at the emotional core of the problem Stensul’s product solves.

Woden congratulates Stensul and is grateful to have played a role on its path to success.
